The idea of creating an organization that represents my experience in the Defense Industry has been on my mind for years. I entered this sector over 15 years ago from a different field, having to learn the business from scratch. Throughout this journey, I met individuals who helped me succeed, including many fellow Latinos who were always available to answer my questions. I realized that a significant number of Latinos were working and contributing to the National Security sector without being represented as a group. This led me to push the idea of creating Latinos in Defense (LID), with the help of other industry associates, as a platform to help individuals reach new levels of achievement and advance Latinos in the National Security business. My vision is to assist active-duty Latino military personnel transitioning into the Defense Industry, as well as recent graduates, Latino entrepreneurs, and others industry associates to excel in this field.
